Therese Fitzpatrick has been teaching for 20 years. Therese has B.F.A. in Art History and Studio Art from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, and an M. Ed. from the Xavier University of Louisiana. She is a certified Reading Specialist and Gifted educator. Currently, she teaches first grade at Lusher Elementary in New Orleans. During the 2015-2016 school year, she worked with Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt Design Museum writing Design Thinking lesson plans. Therese has done work with the Ripple Effect Consortium designing curriculum on place-based learning with a focus on living with water in New Orleans.
When Mrs. Fitzpatrick is not teaching, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two children, and their family dog. Her interests include yoga, meditating, traveling, reading, costuming, drawing, and visiting art venues. |
